One church. Two locations.

I was thinking today about how awesome it is to be a part of a truly international church. If you’ve stumbled on this blog and have never read my main blog, I’ll give you a quick overview. I attend Liquid Church‘s Morristown campus. Last year we connected with a group of people out in Melbourne, Australia, who have since become known as Liquid Melbourne.

I spent some time last night chatting with my overseas friend Karen, and it occurred to me: God’s really moving fast through our little church in Morristown.

It seemed like only yesterday that my best friend Chaz was telling me about this new church in Basking Ridge, NJ, that he was attending. And then about the church moving to Morristown in 2007. Since then, there’s been unprecedented growth. From 350 to 1200 in just one year.

And there’s even more on the horizon. I won’t go into all the details; I’ll save that for my pastors to reveal. But suffice it to say that God’s not done working in Liquid Church just yet.

Here’s an example of just how awesome Liquid Melbourne is.

To give you some quick background info: this summer, our church took up the project of building wells for villages in sub-Saharan Africa that have no access to clean drinking water. Our goal was to build 3 wells. As you can see in the second video, God didn’t think 3 was good enough.

This first video gets me every time I watch it. I feel so connected to each of those peeps even though we’re thousands of miles away from each other.

I stumbled on this great site to help hone my writing skills in the “speedwriting” area. Check out One Word. It’s a pretty neat exercise.

The Jets go to Florida this weekend. This should prove very interesting considering that not even a month ago, Marlins QB Chad Pennington had been wearing the New York green and white for 7 straight seasons. If there’s anyone out there who’s familiar with this Jets defense, it’s Pennington. And given his reputation for being one of the smarter quarterbacks on the gridiron, he’s not going to make things easy for New York.

But we’ll see what happens. With Lord Favre now at the helm for New York, this game could get interesting indeed.

I probably shouldn’t wear my Pennington jersey though, huh.
